Please remain behind our post and rail barriers and keep camp fires off the waters edge. Please CHECK above you when choosing a campsite and DO NOT park under large branches, as you do so at your own risk.
Departure Time – Strictly 10am. If choosing to extend your stay, please see our Camp Managers before 10am.
Pets – Your fur babies MUST be on a leash at all times. No Exceptions. Please use your dog bags everywhere! Bins are provided for disposal of droppings. Sorry, but if you are caught with your pet off leash you WILL be asked to leave our campground. No 2nd chances. We value our bird life and the safety of other guests and their pets and children.
Generators/Loud Music – Generators may only be used between the hours of 8.00 and 10.00am, 3.00 and 5pm. Please keep music at a level to be enjoyed by your camp only. No loud music day or night. Please have consideration for your fellow campers.
Grey Water Drainage – Direct flow toward trees/grass if possible but keep well away from the Wetlands and bore drains.
Contained Camp Fires / Firewood – ALL Timber inside our Wetlands must be purchased. We have pre-cut and loaded timber in trolleys with kindling available for sale from the Office at $15 per load. Ash is to be disposed of in pits provided, on departure, not around our trees. Please return our trolley once you’ve unloaded at your camp. A limited number of complimentary Fire Pits/Drums are available for use. All fires are to be contained and you may use your own Fire Pit if you have one. Please empty and return ours to ash pit areas. Self collection of firewood from our paddocks or access road is NOT permitted due to grass fire risk.
Artesian Water / Taps & Sprinklers – Watering is done by Staff/Volunteers. You may fill up your van with a connector provided by the Office. Full time connection to our taps is NOT permitted. Our onsite staff are connected permanently to our water supply as they live here for the season. Water is 100% pure from all taps. Please use your own hoses with our connector as our hoses are left out for watering and may have algae in them.
Thermal Therapy HOT Pool – All natural 100% pure Artesian water under constant flow with a sand base. Algae is present, safe and normal for artesian water. Our Hot Pool is provided for quiet therapeutic benefits with the temperature set at upwards of 36 + degrees. We know kids love to run, jump and play in and around water so we have a Kids’ hot pool, cubby house and sand pit just for them. We ask that parents/carers do not allow their children to dig holes around our Wetlands or in our pool area.
Kayaks – Bicycles –COMPLIMENTARY- ONE hour maximum paddle/ride per use. Kayaks are provided to view our bird life residing in the Wetlands with minimum impact on their environment. We ask that parents/carers please supervise their children whilst kayaking and ensure children do NOT pull out our swamp grasses or dig holes around the edge of our Wetlands. Kayaks and Bikes are not to be kept at campsites and must be returned before nightfall. Please be fair and share.
Homestead Tours / Camp Oven Dinners – Tours are as advertised at the Wetlands Office. Camp Oven Dinners are provided weekly as advertised at the Wetlands Office and on our Facebook page, usually with live entertainment also. Bookings are essential for both Tours and Dinner as numbers are capped for catering purposes.
Children – PLEASE ensure YOUR children are supervised by an ADULT at ALL TIMES for their safety, including all equipment and facilities. Please encourage your children in understanding our Wetlands is a sensitive environment and sanctuary for over 127 bird species that reside and visit our Wetlands. Please ensure your children do NOT pull out our swamp grasses or dig holes at the waters edge. We have a sand pit just for that activity.
